Reading Lolita in Tehran: A Memoir in Books by Azar Nafisi

2.0

Yet another book I had so wanted to like (because who wouldn't like the premise, really?), but was so terribly executed that I found myself zoning out after a few pages and not really caring or knowing what's going on beyond the most obvious (revolution in tehran, university life, book club in secret). Characters blended into one another, and frankly, and it makes me feel terrible for saying this, i dont give a hoot about it all, not anymore – not after reading this disaster.
