Washington: A Life by Ron Chernow

informative slow-paced

4.0

I learned a lot from this book, and on the whole I enjoyed it, but Chernow has some issues. From defining a good woman as someone who stays home, but doesn’t expect the same from the men in her life, to insisting Washington was a “good slave owner.” As if that’s a thing.
