A Rogue of One's Own by Evie Dunmore
4.0
another hit from miss evie dunmore! i really enjoyed the way she fleshed out the rivals-to-lovers arc; sometimes it can feel a bit too rushed, but i think she really nailed the timing with this one :)
i also really liked the underlying message of this story. it was nice seeing all the layers to both lucie and tristan, and i loved how the novel insinuates that you can be strong, determined, and still give yourself the luxury of having nice things (in this case, a romantic partner). i feel like that’s something that isn’t often explored in romance novels, particularly regarding female characters, so it was super refreshing to see.
