This book is certainly well-written, but it took longer to get into than I expected. I clearly saw the parallels to our recent experience with a pandemic, from the early denials and attempts to stem remediation, to the grief of loss and exhaustion of the sameness of living in a cut-off world. Camus at times gets too philosophical for my taste, but I must admit he isn’t wrong in his observations.
