Okay I loved this. I can’t give it a full 5 stars, because I’m not certain I will reread it yet (my qualifier for 5stars), but this was so much fun! (Until it ripped my heart out and tore it into a bajillion pieces).
I have to admit, I was a little wary at first when I quickly gleaned that there was no magic or even really fantasy creatures or elements at all, other than the spiders that weave silk (love that for them). Like what is a fantasy book without magic or dragons? But it surprised me with each passing novella, I was drawn more and more into the world without noticing those elements were missing, and found myself thoroughly enjoying the stories, the drama, the hormones, the betrayals, the heartbreak.
Count your days, Arobynn. 😡
