In This Grave Hour, by Jacqueline Winspear

I read one or two of the Maisie Dobbs books years ago and really enjoyed them. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to follow along, as this new one is the 13th installment in the series. My fears were unfounded. I was so glad to see that the library had this in a digital download format. It opens on the day that Neville Chamberlain declared that Britain was at war with Germany in 1939. It harkened back to the Great War, aka World War I. I so wish that my library had some of the older books in this series in digital format, but they do not. If I ever run out of digital books to read (HA!), I would go back and read these in real live book format from my library. Thoroughly enjoyable!
