This is a kick ass, action packed adventure story that manages to tie together old lore with modern times in a really unique way. I needed a book like this. Hailey's come into a power that is ancient, and she is a strong, strong character who is in a bad, bad situation. Added to her own plight is the care of her four year old foster brother, Chub, who is just adorable.
Hailey's Aunt Prairie has just popped out from the past,and Prairie is bringing up some bad juju. All of this is on the back cover-I'm not giving anything away here.
If you are looking for something with great characters, massive amounts of action, and hot Polish guys, this is the book for you. I cannot wait to read the companion novel (I wonder why it is not a sequel?), Unforsaken.
