A God of Wrath & Lies by K.M. Moronova

5.0

I'm not sure where to start with this book, it was absolutely beautiful and heart breaking. I love the World building and while it is a bit slow, it's still captivating early on.

Elodie is such a beautiful but lost soul and if you're not prepared to have your heart ripped out then I wouldn't recommend this. But, honestly? Even if you don't like your heart ripped out, you should probably suck it up and read it anyways. K.M's writing is just something else, the characters are something else, and the World.

Tropes: Enemies to lovers, one bed, love triangle?, forced proximity
Spice: 2/5 but, I have hopes it'll get more spicy as the series progresses

Other things: Reincarnation, Gods/Goddesses, Afterlife, Soul Mates?

**SPOILERS**
Do not talk to me.

It's going to be like..10 years before I can process that ending.

The absolute gut wrenching I felt. I haven't felt that in a while, so bravo I guess? I'm not sure if I should be mad or happy to be honest. I'm itching for the 2nd book because I HAVE to know what happens and while I have hope that Arulius will redeem himself in the next book - at least I hope so because I do not want to hate this man, I am still worried he will actually just be evil.

I'm not sure if this is meant to be a reverse harem, love triangle/square? or what so I'm interested to see how Elodie's relationship develops in the next books. I have such a love/hate relationship with Wren and hope that we can find out more about why he is the way he is, he truly seems like he means well but, has something dark in him.

And I absolutely ADORE Kastian, my sweet boy. I hope she finds her way to him if it's not going to be a reverse harem.

And I know the next book talks about yet another guy, so if it's not reverse harem..I might die inside for my baby Kastian lmao.
