Bad Son Rising by Julie A. Richman

4.0

Remember Zac Moore? I hated him. HATED. If you are a fan of the Moore series (and really, if you aren’t you should be!) You hated Zac too. He was awful! He did things that really should be unforgivable. However, get to know Zac now. He’s worth a second look.

This story is Zac becoming the man that Schooner’s son should be. He is finding himself much in the same way Schooner did. Along the way, he finds his love. Thankfully he doesn’t have to follow in his father’s footsteps there.

It’s not an easy story, it’s not all pretty. However, it’s a wonderfully told story. Zac has a lot of learning and growing to do. He screws up, he learns and he grows up before our eyes.

Honestly, while I appreciate the love story in this book to me it’s secondary to the personal journey Zac makes. He is the center of this story and his story is a lovely one. He learns who he is and what he is meant to be. He is at his core, a lovely person.

Yes, read this story for the love he finds. It is, after all, a love story. Lucky for you, you also get an amazing story of a lovely person coming into himself and finding his way into the world.
