This is a really good psychological thriller which keeps the reader in suspense throughout with plenty of twists, turns, red hearings and drama. Some of the murder scenes are very graphic in contrast to the ideleaic Swiss Alps location. The masks, dismemberment and the grabbing of the legs make some parts very scary. Running in parallel to the murders is the difficult relationship between Elin and Issac with the mystery of how Sam truly died and the guilt Elin feels for her last murder case helps to keep up the suspense and add extra layers to the story. The ending had a lot of twists and helped to wrap up most of the plot all but who really did push Elin into the pool leaving the readers wanting more.
Graphic: Child death, Kidnapping, and Murder
Moderate: Sexual assault
