The Not-So-Great Depression: In which the economy crashes, my mom goes broke, my sister's plans are ruined, my dad grows vegetables, and I do not get a hamster by Amy Goldman Koss

Read as a rlly little kid. I think I was in mrs. flak’s class. 3rd grade. I remember i lost it and it turned out to be in that hamper area. We used to keep white hampers in the closet. And then I found it near the end of the year. I remember these tiny details. Like how the mom wore a lot of make up and dressed up all nice like she was going to meet some business person on a cart rip. I remember how she hated her piano teacher but was still thought by him during he depression because they didn’t want him to have no work. I remember how some older girl told her that volunteering would help with college applications.
