I really enjoyed this book. I do think the middle of the book started to get really sluggish and it put me in a bit of a slump, but pushing through to the end of Act II really helped get me back into the book! I will say revealing that Headmaster Ward was Aces fell a little flat for me. I was expecting some grand reveal but it was just like this event happened, he came up and talked to Chiamaka and Devon, and then Devon later referred to him as Aces in his thoughts. I also don't understand why they didn't talk to their parents about what was going on...
Graphic: Racial slurs and Racism
Minor: Suicide and Death of parent
