‘Never His Girl’ is the second instalment in the ‘Kings of Cypress Pointe’ bully romance series by authors Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne.

I’m enjoying the continuation of this series. This book picked up where book one left off. It’s still a slow burn, but the twists and turns kept me interested throughout.

Compared to book one ‘The Golden Boys’ where the focus was on the bullying, in book two it has shifted. Instead of the bullying now we got to see West try to redeem himself.

May I even go as far to say that we got ourselves a little lost puppy on our hands?

While West was adamant on making  amends with Blue; at first she wanted nothing to do with him. However, I’m please to say that once they FINALLY had that long awaited conversation, things took a turn and our ‘King Midas’ and ‘New Girl’ were able to make amends—coming together just like how they meant to be.

“I'm always aware of him, like he's always aware of me-two opposite sides of a magnet, drawn to each other because we're so vastly different.”

Through all their trials I was hoping that they’d at least be able to be together for a while before any more obstacles got in their way. However, it seems I was delusional in that thought… because that ending? Oh how I hate a manipulative man!

This isn’t just a bully romance, there’s more to it. The plot is thickening; you can see how the authors have implemented more backstory—possibly one that will continue into the rest of the books in the series. The lies go deeper and I can’t wait for it to all blow up!
