The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

3.0

I chose three stars, because the book was entertaining enough to keep reading. However, it is full of errors (for example, the author states that there are no cups on the table of the famous painting of the last supper, when there are actually several) and I found the cyphers extremely easy to decode. Of course, I do love cyphers and I have lots of practice at solving them.

With the publishing of this book and the hit movie based upon it, I fear that many people will believe the false history and fictional attributes of landmarks that are depicted in The Da Vinci Code. Hopefully, though, it will lead more people to investigate and learn about the history and themes behind this work.
