Judging by how long it took me to read this novel, it was not gripping. Um. Well. What to say? Not her usual style. The history part was cool. She could have condensed O'Dare's back story by a few dozen pages, and then used that room to lengthen the history part because it was jumpy at times.
It's a toss up if I'll read the next book in the series. Perhaps it's better?
