John Gwynne is a Master Storyteller!
I have read The Faithful and the Fallen and now this one. Five John Gwynne books and five perfect scores. Gwynne is a Master at telling a story, building characters that you either love or hate, and describing the details of battle as well as anyone writing fantasy today. I did not enjoy the early part of this book as much as I did Malice (book 1 of TFatF), but the second half ramped up the action and the direction of the three POVs. I highly recommend this story and ANYTHING by John Gwynne. I look forward to continuing this series, especially now that the final book has been released.
