This made me cry so much I’m struggling to type this. Not only did this novel tell a heartbreaking story of lesbians before it was more acceptable, but it’s informative  references bring it all together. It’s not often we learn about Asian American culture and struggles but I feel this adequately tied the good and bad parts of the culture with lesbianism in the 50s.
