Superman: Red Son by Mark Millar
4.0
I'm not ordinarily a fan of Superman. It's hard to synpathise with a hero who's only problem is how much better he is than everyone else. Despite my misgivings I really enjoyed this novel. In this alternate reality Superman landing the the USSR instead of the US. His popularity and leadership causes the rise of Communism and the gradual decline of the steadfastly capitalist America. The re-imagining of other popular DC characters such as Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor add to the charm of this engaging "what if".
