I wish I'd read this sooner after finishing the first book because it definitely took some time to remember some plot details and who everyone was, but once I did I loved it so much. Kay has this way of writing characters and making them so compelling, even when they've done horrible things. The last chariot race was so compelling despite being stressful af.
