A tough book to read with no overarching theme. West coast dried up, mass migration due to climate change? It hits home .
But, I realized I don't like a unreliable narrator, and definitely not an unlikable, unreliable narrator. I found myself not rooting for anyone and just a sad read. Very descriptive and metaphorical, but still not enjoyable
aslo, bringing Ray back to test of Luz growth... Just to wrap up abandoning the child with the crazy harem and suicide out of self-pity? 300+ pages before they can reflect on "boy we shouldn't have done that"
