Patience is a virtue and they way Kellen waited for Wendy made me swoon. This Princess and the Frog retelling was perfect. Reading Wendy and Kellen’s story made me feel so many different emotions. It made me laugh, cry, roll my eyes. I got a little nervous and my heart broke a few times. The way this story dealt with mental (anxiety) and physical (HCM) illness was masterful. She was delicate with the way she almost made them secondary characters. I appreciate how Tanzania made me feel. I was so torn between delight and devastation because we’re watching two people fall in love while also preparing to bury one. The spark between these two really exploded into beautiful chemistry and the love scenes were *chefs kiss*. If I had one complaint it’s that I wanted more time with these two.
