The Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy

2.0

This is completely overwritten, I'm sorry to say. The definition of purple prose. Conroy has a few good moments of really beautiful writing throughout the book, but not enough to save him from himself in the rest of it. The characters themselves were inconsistent, and a lot of the plot points were unnecessary and unbelievable. Basically, Conroy really needs an editor. I finished it though, so at least I was invested enough to want to know how it was going to end!
