The Bad Brothers are strong, intense, persistent and powerful. Once you meet them, you can’t help but want to spend more time with them and Brett Bad was no exception. From the moment I met Brett I was curious to know what made this playboy tick.

Brett is averse to commitment. He is not looking to be tied down to one woman as he believes love was not meant for him. Watching his brothers fall under the spell of love was not enough to change his mind. Then he met Sophie Roberts. He finds himself drawn to her, but she refuses to respond to his overtures. All he wants is one night with her to so he can move on to his next conquest, but is this enough to purge Sophie Roberts from his mind and heart?

Sophie is looking for her forever after, but she knows Brett is not the one to offer it to her. Unfortunately, this did not stop her from being attracted to him. Her attraction to him made refusing his advances difficult and so she granted him his wish for one night with her. Will she be able to give Brett what he desires without risking her heart in the process?

I enjoyed the moments spent with this wonderful couple. I detest players, but when I learned the reasons behind his actions, I could not help but empathise with him. Brett struggled with guilt, which stemmed from tragic events in his past. It was this guilt coupled with fear, which made him commitment phobic.

Spending time with Sophia proved to the best medicine for Brett. Her love healed him in ways he never thought possible. It gave him the courage to face his demons, thus making him a stronger person. A man who is not afraid to express his feelings is strong and Brett became that person through the healing power of love. Sophie saw in Brett what he failed to see in himself. I admired her willingness to risk all for her forever love. How much of us would risk the pain of a broken heart hoping to find our own forever love?

Their romance was sweet and spicy. These two burnt up the pages. I loved that their romance was drama free and any obstacles to their relationship lay with them. I admired Brett’s attempts to prove to Sophia that he was willing to give her what she so desired. Watching them navigate the hills and valleys of their relationship was heart-warming and a stark reminder that true was worth fighting for.

Ms. Foster is known for writing stories, which not only focuses on the romance between her characters, but also on the unbreakable bonds of friendship and the value of family. These themes featured strongly in this installment. I enjoyed spending time with Sophia’s family, especially her grandmother who was the life of the party. Spending time with Sophia’s family was an eye opening experience for Brett. An experience, which would forever change him.

Conclusion/ Recommendation
Brett: Bad Boys After Dark took me on a journey I was not prepared for, but one I thoroughly enjoyed. The emotions leapt from the pages and the story flowed fluidly. Brett’s story is the fourth and final book in the series and it is my favourite of all. Ms. Foster delivered a sweet, sexy romance with heart, which I found enchanting and captivating.
