This story was full of fun and whimsy as the woodlanders rise up and take Mossflower back from the tyrant Tsarmina. From reading this I can see how formulaic this series already is as well as the problems with it, such as the racism evident in the author’s treatment of rats.
Despite these failings, the book was still enjoyable as a distraction read.
