Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: Guilty Pleasures vol 1 by Stacie Ritchie, Laurell K. Hamilton, Jessica Ruffner, Brett Booth

3.0

The author adapted her first novel to graphic novel form (kind of a theme these days: Odd Thomas, Harry Dresden, more I'm sure). I really enjoyed the first several Anita books, so it was a blast from the past.

The drawings are a bit much for me, but they fit the book. She frequently calls her main male characters "beautiful", so I guess it's fitting that they look like women. There are some flow issues (why is the exposition at the end instead of at the beginning?), but it's a fun read. I wouldn't bother buying it, but it's worth the several weeks wait on ILL.
