Charlie is back as the main character. Sadly, there is very little of Angel and Louis. In this book, we learn the secrets kept by Charlie’s parents, their friends, enemies, and some of Charlie’s mysterious protectors. The previously unknown story of Charlie’s parents and his beginning is terrible and sad and all part of the larger story web. The Collector makes an appearance, and we are introduced to the idea of Mr. Goodkind.  Connolly is a story weaver without equal.
