This is a hard book to get to like. Well past 40% I still felt detached and doubtful. Yet once you reach halfway… it is and intricate well developed work. So many threads and characters and plots… so beautifully written.

It creates an atmosphere that will linger on me. It reminded me some how of Addie La Rue. It’s this melancholic grey morally lax world… I just love the feeling this rare type of books gives you. It feels like a strange dream that could easily turn into a nightmare. I am really looking forward to read some more of her work.

Recommend but keep in mind this will take some effort to get tangled.
