This book made me feel so fuzzy after finishing it. I related to Elise so much, she was an outcast all throughout school and was bullied for not fitting into the societal mold that her peers did. She has a hard time letting her light shine and her classmates try and repeatedly succeed in diminishing her light. 
She tries to kill herself then backs out and the aftermath is where we start back up again. Elise wanders the streets after her family is asleep, and makes friends with 2 random girls and it changes her life. She befriends the DJ in a underground dance club and learns how to be a DJ, she learns how to be strong and learns to be happy with herself. 

I honestly want to reread it immediately.
