Dark Princess is great in theory and a cool read given its historical context, but the story is boring. It’s really difficult to get into and it seems the sociopolitical messaging and lessons it intends to teach takes away from the character development leaving both Mathew Townes and Princess Kautilya largely one-dimensional.
