Did not finish book. Stopped at 37%.

it was so bloated. i didn’t care about what all the people were wearing. i didn’t care about what the food the cocaine was like. it was gross, misogynistic, homophobic, racist, classist, materialistic, and just really boring. and i’ve only just passed the first real murder scene and it was too gross for me. i know i didn’t get a long way through, but it was really becoming a chore to read. i’m not usually one to give up on a book, even if i’m not enjoying it, but i know there are so many other books that i could be reading instead. so, alas, i am giving up on American Psycho. perhaps in the future i’ll try and read it again. who knows.
