Red Rising by Pierce Brown

This book has easily jumped to one of my favorite of all time. The main character Darrow grows so much in this 1st book. In one of the reviews I watched, it was described as "hunger games on Mars". While that off hand might sound silly, that is actually precise, as well as an understatement.

I loved the thrilling way this caste system and universe was set up. It was so precise, and the history has so much depth.

I became so involved with Darrow's goals and missions. He is conflicted, and learning. He is understanding the nuances of all the people in the world as he learns about himself.

It is brutal, and filled with so much emotion. I am hooked. I cannot wait to see how this trilogy fills out, and how this author brings everything together. Highly recommended
