Meet Me in the Margins by Melissa Ferguson

2.75

I liked the premise, the idea of a relationship between the author and secret editor. But it was just too silly to imagine that Savannah didn't know her boss was the editor. She was also such a doormat with her family and was constantly putting herself down as not being good enough, etc.. It's hard to call this a rom-com when there's only one kiss scene, nearly on the last page of the book. And there's a serious overuse of 'mirthful' and wayyyy too much inner monologue, I'd say half the book we're in Savannah's head, which was frankly tiresome. I also have no idea what she looks like, perhaps it was mentioned early in the book but I have no clue.
