i love the idea of a re-write of the tale snow white, however, i think this one just falls a bit flat for me. i don't mind the border line of obsessed and fandom the step-mom has for her daughter, but at times it can be cringe.

i also wish there was a warning about what happened to the king.

he was raped by the previous queen when he was 15 and down with a fever.

it explains his behavior towards his queen. i also like that the author did do a good job on showing how his trauma affects him and how it hasn't magically disappeared.

overall, i think this story is quite cute, but i just can't continue reading it. dnf'ed @ chapter 36
