Honestly, I wasn't sure about this read at the beginning. It was moving slower than I usually like a book to move, with a plot I could see the outlines of, but not the drive. And then it just... Picked up.
I was hooked from the beginning, but it went from interesting to, can't put this down so fast and so seamlessly I didn't even realize it was happening.
The plot talks of struggles I will never truly understand in a voice I could entirely relate to, with the added perspective of a person who just doesn't want their world view broken. It was heart wrenching and touching.
