Dressed for a Dance in the Snow: Women's Voices from the Gulag by Monika Zgustová, Julie Jones

emotional reflective sad slow-paced

3.0

I knew nothing about the gulags so it was very interesting to hear the women’s stories. My rating comes because I listened to the audiobook. So many names were unfamiliar to me and I couldn’t look them up easily since I didn’t know how to spell them, the stories ran together, and it was hard to tell who was speaking at times. I think the physical book is the best way to experience this one and I would’ve loved to see the pictures to go along with the stories.
