This was an incredibly sweet ending to the series. So much was covered in one book, but it never felt rushed. Wendell's story broke my heart but I'm glad we finally know more about him because he was such a sweet character. I'm also glad to see Marjorie and Eliza doing well. Being a middle schooler is honestly so hard and I'm glad that Thummler captured this in a way that felt so real. I'm pretty surprised that this is a middle grade book (or at least the Ottawa library shelves it with the kids' graphic novels), just because it covered some heavy topics, but honestly, I respect Thummler for that. Anyway, overall this is a sweet and lovely series.
