Devolution: A Firsthand Account of the Rainier Sasquatch Massacre by Max Brooks
4.0
I absolutely loved this book. It’s a well thought out and researched novel. I am a big urban legend/monster fan so when I came across this novel I was excited to read it. This is also a great “beginner” sci-fi/horror story. It’s rooted in reality, which makes it that much more unsettling. I loved the science behind it. As a trained anthropologist, I applaud his use of the fossil record and knowledge of evolution to flesh out the plausibility of Sasquatch. Very well done and I will certainly be reading more by this author.
