To Catch a Killer by Sheryl Scarborough

3.0

I really enjoy reading murder mysteries, and this one was a thrill to read from start to finish. Erin Blake was a toddler when she witnessed her mother's murder, a heinous crime that remains unsolved to this day. Obsessed with solving the mystery, Erin dabbles in forensics and works with her biology teacher to run DNA tests. However when Ms Peters end up murdered, connections between the past and present reignites Erin's desire to solve her mother's murder, while at the same time trying to clear her name from being linked to Ms Peter's murder. Along with fellow suspect and secrer crush Journey, Erin sets out to solve the murders. I enjoyed reading and learning about forensics, and found the story equally thrilling and brilliant. It was quite an eye-opener into what the FBI and PD do to solve crimes, and how the different processes play a very important part. A truly enjoyable read.
