Oh wow, where to even start. This series, this whole book UNIVERSE, in fact, has been an absolute ride from start to now (because it’s not even finished, I’ve still got the Guild series to go!). Tate James books are absolutely un-put-down-able - I don’t know how she does it! There is never a dull moment, never a place where I feel comfortable pausing to read and although I do my very best to pace myself, it’s HARD! The characters are so compelling, the storylines are completely electric and don’t even get me started on the chemistry and romance!! *SWOON*

The plot is so well crafted, all these different threads being woven throughout the story that come together so well and all start to make sense the further you get. Everything fits into place with just enough left to drive you further forward into the next series. I’ve enjoyed it so much. I’ve tried to predict it as much as possible, but Tate James seems to be the absolute queen of plot twists and curved balls! Just when you think it can’t get any better, BAM! And those cliff hangers are just something entirely else. I’ve enjoyed every word of these series, with undoubtedly hundreds of highlights and bookmarks in each book to mark my favourite things. Phenomenal. I’d give it 10 stars if I could! And despite being worried it would be similar to the MK series and fall complicit, it is completely different in what I felt was even better. It’s darker, grittier, smoky. The characters are all just so well developed and distinguishable and it’s been great seeing characters from the previous series set in the same world too. I loved the darker aspects, the crushing reality and cruelty in places, and the gritty truths and hardships that just made the characters even more relatable and real. I can’t recommend this series, this universe, or this author enough. Truly.
