The Night Shift by Alex Finlay

4.0

3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4. New Year's Eve 1999, a brutal mass murder happens at a local Blockbuster store. 15 years later, the guy who went to trial for it is missing and his family scattered. Others involved in the case are dead or have moved on with their lives. The lone survivor of the attack is a therapist, helping other people who are going through tough things. But then it happens again. Three teens are murdered at an ice cream shop, and the investigators are trying to see if the two crimes are connected. Fast pace and short chapters, easy to read, but I never really got into any of the characters.
