I loved the worldbuilding in this novella. Hundreds of years in the past, robots left the cities and humans were forced to adapt to life without robots. Dex is a tea monk who is searching for something they can't name. They leave their monastery and travel around Panga providing tea and comfort to townspeople. Dex meets a robot named Mosscap who is searching for the answer to the question "What do people need?" A hopeful, comforting, science fiction novella that will make you look at robots in a different light. This book reminded me of a lighter version of Martha Wells's Murderbot Diaries. I also appreciated the nature writing in this book.
