End of Watch, by Stephen King

4.0

4.5/5

All I can say is, good work, Mr. King. You've done it again. End of Watch was a powerful and emotional ending to the Bill Hodges trilogy. How he wove almost every main character from the other two books into this finale was spectacular, although there was a major character from Finders Keepers who is only mentioned, and not even by name. But then, I'm not sure what role he would have served the story so perhaps that decision was for the best. This novel was a thrill from start to finish. My only critique is how King spent too much time addressing how the killer had set all of this up, and what he was doing for the last couple years. It could have been trimmed down considerably, hence the 4.5 instead of a full 5 stars. I would recommend this to anyone who liked either of the previous books.
