Early Heinlein from 1940, collected and published in 1952 with some edits. The longest story "If This Goes On" is novel length. These stories were the beginning of the future history series. "If this goes on" is of main interest here, detailing the US as it descends into a dictatorship/theocracy. Lots of interesting comments on religion taking over government. Ideas that don't seem out of place in today's world. I also found it interesting that a conversation in the book has one character giving another a hard time for smoking and mentions lung cancer. Recommended for you Heinlein fans.
