The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn

3.0

Bridgerton 2: Electric Boogaloo wasn't as good as the first one but it was still a pleasant, very fluffy read that was occasionally quite funny.

I'm not sure Quinn is capable of writing a male character who isn't an asshole, and Anthony is certainly no exception. If the first two in the series are any indication of the rest, you could call this Toxic Masculinity: The Series. That being said, they're not without their redeeming qualities and even when I think a character is a dick, I don't find him entirely unlikeable.

This book's strength is in the dialogue, which is sharp and often funny. I laughed out loud several times. I'm reminded a bit of Gilmore Girls or The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Very quick, snarky, playfully sharp-tongued back and forths. Fun to read.
