In Flight by R.K. Lilley

5.0

This book doesn’t start with the first encounter of Bianca and Mr James Cavendish but the second. The first is of course, mentioned shortly after in the next couple of chapters – I probably should have taken note to when, but its not really important. This is the first difference I have seen with today’s BDSM romance novel scene. Bianca is a First-Class Flight Attendant. She works all day serving celebrities with her and her co-worker Stephen (& best friend) whom she’s been with since she left home as a teen.

When they first lay eyes on each other, you know exactly just how hot this book will be. The intensity can be felt, and it leaves you wanting more.

Of course, as a dominant, he was completely controlling. When the steam comes in? When we meet his Fourth Flour playground! That’s right, he has a special elevator, that goes to a floor in the building only he has access to, that’s a BDSM playground. Their first time together, is her very first time. And god, is it hot. I liked that things never 'went too far' and he knew her limits.

James’ first little step into my heart, was when he organised with Stephan to appear at the club they were at, just to see Bianca. Granted, he’s always saying he just wants in her pants, but the crude man falls away after she becomes so drunk she’s incoherent, and he takes her home, puts her to bed, and even removes her make-up for her.

Stephen is definitely a book friend who is worth mentioning. He’s family. He’s protective and does everything to make sure Bianca is okay.

My first love for this book? The chapter titles! Sometimes I think every book should have titles like that! It was so perfect I looked forward to each one!

The ending is where it gets super good. We meet females in Mr Cavendish’s life, and things get HECTIC! To say Bianca becomes distraught at the thought of him with another, is an understatement. She becomes a frightened little girl when he kicks into extreme mode, trying to get her back.

As for the very end? When we meet her father? HOLY JE-ZUZ! And then comes her cutting her ties with James and the ultimate crushing of my heart along with his. My heart STOPPED at this moment, and I literally felt like breaking down for him. I felt his pain. Many answers were not given, and I actually NEED to know more.
