Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart
2.0
DNFed at chapter 12.
Sorry, unfortunately, I've lost interest in what seemed to be a good novel.
My understanding is that this takes place in Italy? (Not sure)
Don't understand why the sister was chosen, not sure if it's explained later in the book (at ch. 5) just because she backtalked to the heir. Unless he had some higher motive, but then again it makes no sense, because nothing happened. So we get no backdrop on the events taking place.
This book feels depersonalized. Like there's no flair to it.
I liked Cassia as a character, she felt complex and hard to read, but mesmerizing for a girl at the same time.
Unfortunately, the book took a turn for the worse, when we find out what the prison is like and what living there means. There was nothing interesting, nor gripping about it, just a bunch of women who are not afraid to be butch. This is why I've stopped reading it.
