The Boston Girl by Anita Diamant

This book was beautiful!!! Absolutely beautiful! It was a slow beginning and it took me a while to find my interest but once I did I was hooked! I adored hearing about life as a women throughout the the 1900s and honestly the way it was told, a grandmother retelling her life story to a grand-daughter, felt so incredible genuine and really added to the story. I loved that she didn't shy away from telling the difficult parts or skip anything (i.e. Harold in the alleyway) because she was speaking to her granddaughter! I loved this tale, I will recommend it happily!! Aaron - my heart!! And the friendship between her and Filomena was absolutely EVERYTHING! Everything here just felt right and it ended on such a high note.
