Dark Peril, by Christine Feehan

4.0

Dominic didn't stand out as much as I'd hoped, what with all his legendary status, but he was great with Solange, knowing she needed to be a warrior. He let her take her time at learning to also embrace the parts of her that weren't warrior, as well. As for Solange, I hadn't liked her very much in the other books. She was quite abrasive, and very against all men. In this one, however, we learn that she had been meeting Dominic in dreams for years. They each thought they'd invented the other, and it was so funny when they discovered that they were both real people. The plots with the vampires, as well as the stuff with the jaguars after Solange kept the book from being too slow, but the primary focus was on the romance, and Solange's growth. While this wasn't my favorite, I found it enjoyable, and I'm curious what some of the discoveries in this story hold for future installments.
