DUBCON AND NONCON ARE DIFFERENT.
I’ve read all the other books in this series, so i trusted the warning tag of “dubcon,” since i have a pretty good feel for this author.
this was not dubcon. it was noncon.
there was zero consent happening. the first few sex scenes are straight up sexual assault. saying “i am going to fuck you or you can go to prison” is what i label dubcon. it is r*pe.
if noncon is your thing, then you might like this! if panic attacks, crying, thoughts of self-harm, and helplessness during sex are kinks, then you will probably enjoy this! i def don’t want to shame my noncon kink friends.
but i want to be clear to others readers like me that this is NOT dubcon. it is r*pe and the first two (at least) sex scenes feature one MC taking the other by physical and psychological force.
