The Carnivorous Carnival, by Lemony Snicket

3.0

I am curious to see what happens next to the Baudelaire orphans -- things just seem to go from bad to worse for them. Count Olaf showed the depths of his depravity with extreme animal cruelty in this book -- glad the lions were finally fed, somewhat sorry about who their meal was. I find the concept of an ambidextrous man being a feature in a freak show at a carnival a bit extreme, but it fits with the rest of this off-kilter world. Love to see the way baby Sunny is growing up.
